Fibrocell: Personal Stem Cell-Based Therapy
Stem cells constitute the most basic cellular source for the organism to maintain its vitality. These special cells have the ability to transform into various cell types in the body and play an important role in the repair of damaged tissues. “Fibrocell”, a method used in skin treatments using cells called fibroblasts, is based on these features.
Fibrocell is a special treatment method that uses the individual’s own cells. Therefore, it does not carry the risk of allergic reaction. It is used as an effective method in the treatment of tissue areas lost due to accidents, births or other reasons, in reducing wrinkles, and in correcting scars and skin scars. It is also used successfully in the treatment of chronic wounds, burns, and post-traumatic scars.
How Does the Application Process Work?
For Fibrocell application, first a skin biopsy is taken from behind the ear. The skin behind the ear, which is not affected by the harmful effects of the sun, is a preferred area for this purpose. The biopsy process is carried out under absolutely sterile conditions. After the tissue biopsy, fibroblast cells are multiplied and this rich cell solution is injected into areas where collagen production needs to be stimulated. Fibroblast cells injected with this application contribute to skin renewal by accelerating collagen synthesis.
How Many Sessions Are Required and When is the Effect Observed?
Fibrocell treatment is generally performed in 3 sessions, every 4 weeks. Although it may vary depending on individual differences, the first effect of the treatment is usually noticeable after the second injection. In some people, visible results can be achieved even immediately after the first injection. The course of action usually lasts for 12 months and increases over time.
Fibrocell therapy is a stem cell-based method in which the individual’s own cells are used. It provides effective results especially in the field of skin renewal, repair and rejuvenation.
